#ZeroReasonsWhy
Teenage Suicide Prevention
#ZeroReasonsWhy is a storytelling and community mobilization campaign around teen suicide prevention and mental health. It seeks to engage peer-to-peer conversations among key audiences of teens, parents, educators and health professionals to reduce the stigma of mental health. The six school district superintendents in Johnson County, Kansas, engaged Overflow to help concept and run the campaign beginning in 2018. The campaign is designed to be teen-led, and Overflow facilitates monthly meetings of a Teen Council, quarterly community mental health convenings, manages social media channels and creates story-focused multimedia content. We also created a robust Narrative Playbook for the campaign to help spread the idea to other communities who want to implement the campaign in their area.
